A Good Day
The days are long. Hot. Musky environment. No air. No space. Dirt, and soot cover the faces of the people you can barely see. The days are long. Hours on hours. No end is coming. This life is dark. The earth is weak. Beneath my feet it crumbles. Like a soft coffee cake. It leaves no pain and remembers no glory. This world is cruel. The days are long. Long like the tides of the atlantic. Long like the stretch limousine that carries the too proud. Long like the sidewalk with no end. Long like the journey of the kid with no car. Long like the highschool hallways to a freshman. These days are long. But once you remember the length of your day. The stretch of the road. Once you experience the days that never end. And all you want is to be in a quiet place and sleep.

Remember this.

Remember that this life is short. The days may be long but not long enough. There is not enough time in the day to glorify the world around you. You must appreciate the minutes. The seconds. Cause one day it may be all gone. And when that day comes..you are gonna see yourself. And you will wish those days were longer. You will wish you had to walk to school. You will wish that feeling of fear. That feeling of excitement and wonder. You will wish for life again and again. To be long. And to work those hard days in the mine. Or sit in that office. Or drive that bus. Just one more day. To take the long way home. To go a little further. See you will not remember the bad days. All bad must be inspired by good. Live every day good. Live it long. And when it is over..regret nothing. And thirst for more.
